I have returned!

The Deutschland Adventure

Sorry for the lack of posts in recent weeks, but I was away on my summer vacation, the Deutschland Adventure. I did not want to advertise that I was away so that my home did not show up on PleaseRobMe.com. Now that I am back, I plan to get back to work documenting my planning for the trip as well as the trip itself.

It was my first time going to Germany and I came away really impressed! We loved the rail system, enjoyed the food and found the German people to be very friendly! We visited Berlin, Leipzig, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Munich, Salzburg (Austria), Frankfurt, Hockenheim and Cologne. Berlin was the last addition to the trip as I worked through planning the itinerary but, ironically, it wound up being my favorite destination (aside from Rothenburg where we simply did not have enough time to enjoy this charming medieval town). We bookended Germany with a little time in Paris and a weekend in New York City on the way back.

Over the coming weeks - and probably months -  I will lead you through how I used points and miles to plan the trip, the places we visited, and any tips about German travel I picked up along the way.

I love traveling and experiencing new places, but it is really nice to be home! I just have a lot of stuff, blog and otherwise, to get caught up on!
