I am a full-time blogger!

I don't plan to wind up living in a van down by the river!

Ok, not really, but that is the spin I am putting on it. I had planned to finish some updates done this week and I was well into writing up my thoughts on the Marriott-Starwood merger, when my focus was shifted Wednesday morning. My boss informed that my day job was being eliminated as of December. Uh oh. 

No, I have not been moping around in sweats all week or shopping for vans so I can eventually live down by the river. On the contrary, I am actually excited for what the future holds and finding a new challenge and growing my (non-blog) career. I know that God has a plan so I am not concerned. However, rather than work on blog posts, I did spend time perusing job postings, reaching out to my professional network, etc. I am not going to waste any time!

A silver lining to this situation is that I definitely hope to have more time to devote to Debrian Travels, though it may take a bit for that extra time to become available. As always, thanks for reading and please be patient with me as I feel may through this transition period.
